I will keep running, and I will survive also. The joy of the run, the joy that is life, continues.

Lucy De Vries Duffy lives on Cape Cod. When not running, she can be found kayaking or off-roading at Nauset Beach with her family, includ-ing four sons and six grandchildren, with a seventh on the way. Since her husband's death, Lucy has continued to raise money for leukemia research. Since her 1986 New York Marathon she has raised approxi-mately $200,000. In 2002, the Boston Leukemia & Lymphoma Society chapter honored Lucy by naming an annual Lucy Against Leukemia Award. Lucy is presently training for her 14th marathon, the 2003 Boston Marathon. She will be celebrating her 70th birthday.
