Bruce Cleland
Sometimes these things are not entirely altruistic, because we respond aggresively in order to ease our own pain. While on one level we're doing it for ourselves, we have the comfort of knowing what we are doing also has considerable benefit for others.
| Bruce Cleland is the president and chief executive officer of Campbell
& Company, an investment management firm located in Baltimore, MD.
Bruce established Team In Training in 1988 as a volunteer effort inspired
by his daughter Georgia's battle with leukemia. His inaugural team raised
more than $320,000 for leukemia research. He still participates as a TNT
athlete, most recently competing in the Athens-to-Atlanta in-line skating
race. He is married with four children and lives in Ruxton, MD.
